Digital Horizons

About Digital Horizons

Digital Horizons is a home technology company that handles smart home, audio and video work, and builds golf simulator rooms as one of its services. It operates out of Brainerd, Minnesota, and has been in business since 2013.

Here is how they describe their simulator work, in their own words: "Bring championship-level golf home with a Full Swing Simulator, designed and installed by the pros at Digital Horizons." They work with Full Swing as their simulator platform, meaning the hardware and software driving the swing analysis and course play come from that brand rather than being assembled piecemeal.

Two things on their site are worth knowing before you call. First, they have an Experience Center at their Brainerd location where clients can see and use the same lighting, audio, shading and automation technology that would go into their own home, which lets you test equipment before committing to a design. Second, they publish detailed guidance on ceiling height, recommending nine feet as a minimum and nine and a half to ten feet as more comfortable for full swings, and on the tradeoffs of combining a simulator with a home theater in the same room, including the fact that an impact screen can't be acoustically transparent, so theater speakers often end up in the ceiling instead of behind the screen.

They don't publish pricing, a stated service area, warranty terms or an installation timeline, and the simulator brand relationship, whether that means dealer status or certification, isn't spelled out either.

This is a good fit if you want a company that treats the simulator as one piece of a larger home technology project, and if you want to see and touch the gear in a showroom before deciding on a room design.
