About Illini Golf
Illini Golf is a golf facility in Peoria, Illinois, built around five indoor simulator bays and a dedicated putting green. It operates out of the Metro Centre at 4700 N University St, Suite 70, and has served golfers in Central Illinois for more than 40 years, though the simulator side of the business is a newer addition to a shop that also does club fitting, club repair and lessons. This is a rental and lesson facility, not a company that installs simulators in other people's homes, so a homeowner planning a personal build should treat it as a place to go test equipment and ideas, not as a contractor to hire.
Here is how they describe their simulator work, in their own words: "We didn't just install any simulators; we installed Foresight Falcon simulators."
The Foresight Falcon is an overhead-mounted launch monitor that reads ball speed, club path, spin and angle of attack on every shot, which is the kind of data serious players use to actually diagnose a swing rather than guess at it. Three of the five bays pair that monitor with PuttView, a projection system that overlays break, speed and target lines right onto a putting surface, including a 15 by 30 foot dedicated green, so you can see why a putt missed rather than just that it missed. Illini Golf says this is the only public PuttView green in Illinois.
Pricing is published plainly: standard simulator bays run $80 an hour for up to four people, a private bay is $100 an hour, and the PuttView green is $30 per half hour. They do not publish anything about installing simulators for home use, so homeowners looking for a builder would need to call and ask directly.
This is a good fit if you want to try Foresight and PuttView technology in person, book a lesson or a casual round, or host a group event, before deciding what to put in your own house.
