About AV Specialists
AV Specialists is a home and commercial audio video and smart home company at 1163 N. Hercules Ave. in Clearwater, Florida. It has been in business since it opened its Florida shop in 1995. Its core work is home automation, lighting control, home theater and whole-home audio. Golf simulators are one of its services.
Here is how they describe their simulator work, in their own words: "At AV Specialists, we exclusively sell and install Foresight Sports simulators, ensuring you get the best technology and a flawless installation."
For a simulator room, the projector and screen matter most. The company uses a 4K HDR projector and sets it up to your room's layout and natural light, so the picture stays visible in the room you actually use. The screen is a custom impact screen made of webbed polyester, which they say can withstand direct hits from balls struck at up to 250 miles per hour. A screen that takes that kind of impact is what wears out first, so the material matters. The room can also be run from one device, with lights, shades, climate, audio and the golf system controlled from a smartphone, remote or wall panel.
They say projects typically start around $40,000 and scale with your needs. That is the only price they publish. They do not state a warranty, an installation timeline or minimum room size on their site, so ask about those before you sign.
The staff includes CEDIA and InfoComm members, Crestron Master Programmers, and technicians certified for Control4, Lutron and Polycom. Every project starts with a guided discovery session covering your goals, how the room will be used and the architecture of the space. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00. They serve Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Dunedin, Palm Harbor and the beach communities nearby.
This is a good fit if you are in the Tampa Bay area and want the simulator wired into a whole-home control system, rather than a standalone room.
