About Santa Barbara Sims
Santa Barbara Sims is a golf simulator company based in Santa Barbara, California. Golf simulators are its whole business. It designs and installs custom indoor simulators in Santa Barbara and Montecito, and it lists Goleta and Carpinteria among the areas it covers. Lucas Pieper-White founded it. He says he started the company after trying to build a simulator in his own living room and finding the sourcing, component matching and installation harder than he expected. He grew up in a family of engineers and spent years running commercial facilities departments.
Here is how they describe their work, in their own words: "Every component hand-selected, every install white-glove." They offer seven package tiers, from garage conversions to estate-level builds, with names including First Swing, The 4K Upgrade, The Overhead, The Backyard and The Trackman Room. The Overhead is the indoor build they say is most popular. It uses ceiling-mounted Uneekor tracking and 4K laser projection, which leaves the floor open for the swing. The Backyard is a weatherized laser build for covered patios and pergolas, which matters if the bay will not sit inside a finished room. Every build runs on GSPro software, which they describe as having more than 500 courses, realistic ball physics and multiplayer for up to 8 players. They also name Uneekor and Trackman as tracking brands.
Their pricing runs from $10k to $173k. They say those figures are approximate and not firm quotes, so you will need to contact them directly for a price on your project. They list 18 components as included and say the average build takes under 4 weeks.
They do not publish how long they have been in business, their hours, any licence or certification, a warranty, or a street address.
This is a good fit if you want a company that designs the whole room around the simulator, whether it is a garage, a covered patio or a larger estate project, and you are comfortable getting a direct quote before you rely on the published range.
