What support do installers promise after the install?

Assembled Golf, GOLF365, Launch House Golf, Virtual Tee Systems, and Murphy Golf Simulators promise ongoing support in three distinct shapes: bare reassurance, service lists without terms or prices, and one written warranty. Assembled Golf and GOLF365 are the reassurance tier. Assembled Golf's homepage lists support as the last of its four steps ("From troubleshooting to upgrades, we're here to help long after installation is complete"), and GOLF365, a South Florida installer, writes that its relationship "doesn't end after installation," naming ongoing maintenance, software guidance, and quick local service with no term or price attached.

Launch House Golf and Virtual Tee Systems get more specific, still without terms. Launch House Golf's homepage names remote monitoring and troubleshooting, plus "software updates, calibration adjustments, tech support," with a stated promise that the company doesn't disappear after the build. Virtual Tee Systems maintains a detailed gear maintenance checklist for owners: weekly cleaning, monthly inspections with photo documentation, monthly software and firmware checks.

Only Murphy Golf Simulators puts a warranty document in writing: one year from purchase on new products, covering structural components and electronics, with impact screens, hitting strips, and turf surfaces excluded as "normal wear items." Before you sign off on install day, ask which of the promises you read online appear anywhere in your contract. The five steps that come before support have their own walkthrough.

How long do the manufacturer hardware warranties run?

Published launch monitor warranties run from six months (SkyTrak+) to two years (Uneekor's overhead models), and one year is the standard at Foresight Sports and TrackMan.

All terms checked August 2026 on the pages in the sources below. TrackMan's own iO page states no warranty length, so that figure is the retailer's.

What's in the warranty fine print?

Two details in the fine print change what you should do in year one. Uneekor honors its warranty only on units bought from Uneekor.com or its authorized resellers, and a replacement after the first 30 days may be a refurbished unit rather than a new one. Foresight Sports sells extended coverage ($750 for one extra year on a GC3, up to $2,250 for two extra years on a GCQuad), but its extended-warranty product page requires that your launch monitor "must still be under the original warranty" at the time you buy. A second or third year of Foresight coverage has to be bought before the original warranty runs out.

What wears out first?

The impact screen and the hitting strip wear out first, and Murphy Golf Simulators' warranty says as much by excluding "impact screens, hitting strips/turf inserts" and turf surfaces from coverage as normal wear items. Replacement prices below were checked August 2026.

• Impact screen. Carl's Place sells replacement screens from $179.95 and prints no lifespan figure. Its care guide says wear depends on the screen tier, the volume of use, and the golfer's skill, and that some marking "immediately after the first use" is normal. Clean balls, correct tension, and about a foot of buffer behind the screen are its recommended life-extenders.
• Hitting strip. Shop Indoor Golf sells the SIGPRO Softy replacement strip (28 by 12 inches) at $212.49, marked down from $249.99, for owners replacing the worn strip in a SIGPRO mat. Virtual Tee Systems' maintenance checklist adds the free version: rotate your strike area so the wear spreads evenly.
• Projector. An LED model like the BenQ LW600ST+ has no bulb to replace: its 4LED light source is rated for 30,000 hours ($1,199 at Rain or Shine Golf), so nothing on that projector needs a replacement budget. Virtual Tee's checklist still assigns a monthly intake-filter check.

Who handles recalibration if readings drift?

Your installer's support line is the primary route for recalibration, because no manufacturer we read publishes a recalibration interval for a home launch monitor. Launch House Golf includes "calibration adjustments" in its remote support list. GOLF365 describes a calibration step at handoff, with a walkthrough of every feature before the crew leaves. Virtual Tee Systems' maintenance checklist prescribes monthly inspections with photo documentation and a monthly check for software and firmware updates.

Manufacturer guidance frames accuracy as placement. SkyTrak's official tips guide says to set the launch monitor parallel to your target line and level with the hitting surface, and it stops at setup. Uneekor's warranty language points the same direction, voiding coverage for improper site preparation. If your carry distances shift, start with the installer that built the bay, then the manufacturer's support channel.

Which software bills renew every year?

Every course-play title in this table bills annually, at published renewal prices from $99.99 to $1,100 a year.

Can you skip the subscriptions?

Two published exceptions reduce the annual bill. SkyTrak's product page keeps basic features available without a paid membership, and TruGolf includes a standard E6 license covering 27 courses (as listed August 2026) with its own simulators, no subscription attached. Lapsing a renewal shrinks the course library and stops the updates, and the bay keeps working at a reduced level.
