PowerPlay

About PowerPlay

PowerPlay is a mobile event entertainment company in Virginia that also designs and builds golf simulator spaces for homes and businesses. Golf simulator installation is one of several services alongside event rentals such as a golf simulator trailer, axe throwing and archery tag. Its business details list Charlottesville, Virginia, and it says it serves Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Roanoke, Blacksburg, Harrisonburg, Wintergreen, Richmond and all of Virginia. It was founded in 2015 as Knockerball Charlottesville and rebranded as PowerPlay in 2018.

Here is how they describe their simulator work, in their own words: "At PowerPlay, we combine years of creating insanely fun experiences with real hands-on building expertise to design custom golf simulator spaces that perform as good as they look."

The build work is sold as two packages. The Birdie Package starts at $15,000+ and includes a semi custom enclosure or wall padding, turf and a hitting strip, a VTrack or comparable overhead launch monitor, a 4K projector, a gaming PC and GSPro software with a controller. They say they handle the full installation and setup, and that it gives you a turnkey simulator in 1 to 2 days. The Albatross Package starts at $25,000+ and is designed around your room, with a custom turf layout, padding, lighting and screen, plus a projector, gaming PC, a VTrack or higher tier launch monitor and swing cameras.

The custom layout is worth asking about if your room is an odd shape or you want to film your swing. They say the range runs from part-time garage sims to full custom build-outs. No warranty is published, and no street address is listed.

This is a good fit if you want a simulator built in a garage or spare room by a company that also runs events, and you are in Virginia.
