Smart Home Sight

About Smart Home Sight

Smart Home Sight is a home automation and AV company that also designs and installs golf simulators, one of several services it offers alongside security systems, home theater, smart lighting and boardroom AV work. It is based in Newmarket, Ontario, and has been doing this work for 8+ years.

Here is how they describe their process, in their own words: "We discuss your needs, space, and budget to create the perfect plan."

They work with Trackman tracking technology, which uses radar to measure ball speed, spin rate, launch angle and carry distance, data that would otherwise need a swing coach standing over your shoulder. They also note that a workable simulator room generally needs a ceiling height of at least 9 to 10 feet, a width of 12 to 15 feet and a depth of 16 to 20 feet, numbers worth checking against your own space before settling on a design. Projects go into basements, garages and commercial lounges, and past work includes a basement build in King City and a custom golf room in Aurora.

On cost, they say a basic residential simulator may start around $10,000, while a setup with a custom-built enclosure, high-end projector and integrated audio-video system can exceed $50,000. They serve Newmarket, Aurora, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Markham, Barrie, Keswick, Innisfil, Georgina, Mount Albert, Stouffville and the wider York Region, and can be reached every day from 8am to 10pm.

They do not publish a golf-specific warranty, a list of their brand partners beyond Trackman, or a typical timeline for how long a simulator installation takes.

This is a good fit if you want the simulator folded into a wider smart home or AV setup, built by the same company that can also handle the lighting, sound and networking for the rest of the house.
